Ian Foulsham

Ian established a legal practice in Castlereagh Street, Sydney in 1973 and was a sole practitioner until he commenced in partnership with Dougal Geddes in 1984.  In 2013 Ian became a consultant to his old firm, Foulsham & Geddes where he remained until he commenced consulting with Bull, Son & Schmidt in 2016.

Ian comes to Bull, Son & Schmidt with a sense of humour, a wealth of experience and knowledge carrying on general practice for over 40 years in conveyancing, commercial leasing, family arrangements, wills, credit control, probate & estate planning and litigation.

His deep commitment to the community has involved many areas, working for the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal organising the Killara area, and pro-bono Will Days for the Salvos.  He has also worked with Mission Australia Will Days and for 15 years as a duty solicitor at Yasmar and Bidura Children’s Courts.

As an ex-Chairman and life member of Sydney University Cricket Club, Ian maintains a keen interest in cricket.  He played grade cricket with SUCC for 13 years and then with I Zingari Australia where he recently retired as President.  Golf is another passion.  He can regularly be seen at Killara Golf Club and Blackheath Golf Club and is presently President of The Blackheath Golf and Community Club.

Ian has been married to Linda for nearly 50 years.  They have 3 sons, Benjamin who is with the Baptist Church; Edward, a television cameraman with the ABC, and Lachlan, a member of the Professional Golfers Association.
